Tertiary Education

Our programs for tertiary education support university students in Australia, particularly international students by strengthening their intercultural competence and global readiness.

We deliver practical, interactive workshops that help students build the skills to communicate effectively across cultures, work in diverse teams, and adapt to new environments. These are essential capabilities that not only enhance the student experience but also boost employability in an increasingly global job market.

Whether part of orientation, student development, or career readiness initiatives, our sessions are engaging, relevant, and tailored to the unique challenges and opportunities faced by students in higher education.

We also offer pre-departure programs for students preparing to study overseas, giving them the tools to navigate cultural differences with confidence and awareness.

“The culture workshop made me realise the value of communication. Communicating in a cross-cultural context not only means that people may need to use a second language, but it also requires people to follow the customs of the country, even though these customs may not be openly stated. Coupled with the fact that everyone has different habits of expression, misunderstandings are common in such situations. Communication doesn’t just mean speaking the same language, it means putting yourself in the other person’s shoes from all angles – and this workshop provided me with more ways to think about that.”

“This program is life changing. It certainly made me realize that we have so much more in common than we do different. A lot of these modules challenged me, first by looking at myself, looking at the mirror, and working outward from there. It makes me more globally competent and more aware of my surroundings. I’m really, really happy that I decided to join.”

“Culture workshop speak to my personal focus on being a culturally sensitive manager in the higher education industry. Contents are consistent with knowledge I obtained from the International HRM course. One of my greatest takeaways is that it is a common misconception that numerous people can speak English fluently – does NOT mean cultural learning is not necessary. Instead, intercultural competency is pivotal to cultural immersion and to minimise unconscious biases and stereotypes which trigger conflict and ineffective communication.”
