Value Learning provides consultation, facilitation, program design and development to education, non-profit, and government organisations.

Meet Our Directors

Co-founders Fran Baxter and Marcela Lapertosa are intercultural learning practitioners who have built their expertise and reputation by delivering valued learning experiences and high quality projects to address the needs of some of the world’s leading intercultural learning and education organisations. 

Together they manage a series of government, industry and educational projects.

Fran Baxter

Executive Director

An intercultural educator with a passion for learning, Fran has a deep desire to build greater intercultural skills with groups, individuals and organisations. With more than 25 years’ experience in international education, intercultural learning and student mobility, she designs and facilitates learning programs delivered in Australia and across the globe. 

Marcela Lapertosa

Director of Education

A Cross Cultural Psychologist with a passion for fostering intercultural understanding, Marcela is also a master facilitator and trainer who has travelled the world leading the development and delivery of  global competence curricula, intercultural learning and leadership training to diverse audiences.

Nishita Mehta

Program Manager

A skilled program manager, based in India, Nishita is passionate about enabling and empowering individuals, especially high-school students, with global competence and intercultural skills required for a sustainable future.

Monica Lopez

Marketing Specialist

A strategic digital marketer with a flair for branding, Monica brings fresh energy and cultural sensitivity to every project. With a background in education and communications, she helps shape Value Learning’s online presence—crafting content, refining visuals, and building a brand that connects across cultures.

Hammad Shahin

AIYEP Coordinator

An AIYEP 2024 alumnus and NCP Scholar, Hammad coordinates host recruitment for AIYEP 2025 in Melbourne. With 19 months of study and work in Indonesia, he brings rich intercultural experience. He’s currently studying Law and International Relations at La Trobe and mentoring students as a Facilitator.

Eloise Dolan

Facilitator

Currently working for Victorian trade office in Singapore, previously the Project Coordinator for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Australia-Indonesia Youth Exchange Program, Eloise was awarded the IEAA Tony Adams Rising Star Excellence Award for her contribution to International Education in Australia.

Anggie Hall

Facilitator

Anggie is an experienced cross-cultural facilitator and trainer with over 15 years of experience working with both local and international companies. People, culture, designing and delivering  training have always been her passion.

Nadia Bello

Facilitator

A psychologist and  PHD student with a background in business and information systems, Nadia’s passion is intercultural learning and helping people become global citizens.

Sally Milbourne

Facilitator

A doctorate in education and a qualified facilitator across a range of fields, Sally is passionate about people, curriculum development and intercultural learning and brings a wealth of experience to our facilitation team.

Jen Gadzek

Consultant

Working with  global organisations at a senior level, Jen delivers solutions that drive people capability. Jen is passionate about helping people strive toward achieving their full potential.

Karen Hernandez

Facilitator

A Library Technician and author with a background in engineering, Karen is a dedicated community volunteer passionate about cultural inclusion and lifelong learning. She’s facilitated diversity workshops, led Spanish immersion programs, and published two books celebrating storytelling and creative expression.

Eloise Field

Facilitator

Through exchange programs to Japan and Indonesia (AIYEP 2022), her Asian studies degree and her background in AFS Intercultural Programs facilitation,  Eloise has promoted intercultural exchange and fostered the Australia-Asia relationship.
